Use the Chrome you already have. BeatBrowser connects Codex, Claude Code and other compatible agents to your existing Chrome profile and website logins through an open-source extension and local MCP bridge.
Tasks run in separate background windows. Inspect progress in the extension workspace, pause automation, take over a page, and explicitly return control when ready. Task windows share the selected profile’s cookies; they are not isolated browser identities.
The extension, bridge, MCP server, CLI and JavaScript SDK are public under MIT. Normal local tools are free and need no BeatBrowser account or API key; your agent uses its own model access.
Setup requires Node.js 20+, Chrome 116+ and manual loading of the unpacked extension. An optional cloud adapter preview can connect compatible remote agents through your own authenticated tunnel; your computer must remain online.
I maintain BeatBrowser. The project cover and workflow diagrams explain the product; they are not a live task recording.
