As part of our design challenge, "How Might We Provide Healthier Food Options for People in Need?" our design team considered existing barriers to getting healthier food options to people in need including infrastructure, distribution, storage, education, access, and capital in order to design solutions for providing healthier food options to low-income residents of West Oakland. The Course for Human-Centered Design is a seven-week curriculum that introduces the concepts of human-centered design and how this approach can be used to create innovative, effective, and sustainable solutions for social change.
