Oxbow UI is Now Free (MIT Licensed)

Hello everyone,

This happened last week. We decided to make Oxbow UI free and MIT licensed because we are going to expand this big time. Every one of our 427 Tailwind CSS & Alpine JS blocks are open for you all to use.

Current Status

The repository is open, but we cannot accept PRs yet because we have not cleaned up the repository. Some things go nowhere, but we will let you know as soon as it is open for contributions.

While you are free to fork it, be aware that the repo is still messy. If you have time to navigate through it, feel free to fork it.

As for the documentation, it currently only includes pages for the buttons and the colors — we have not had the time to add more yet.

The Plan

We are crafting a design system that will then be used on Oxbow. We will clean up all the blocks and rebuild them using that design system. This is why the repository is not open for PRs yet — we don’t want you to put time into something that will change soon.

What You Can Do in Oxbow UI

• Copy and paste the blocks

• Change between themes: dark mode, system, and light blocks

  • In dark mode, you copy only the dark classes

  • In light mode, you copy only the light classes

  • In system mode, you copy both

• Download the blocks

• Open the blocks in a new window
