After going to a lot of meetups, conferences, and networking events, I kept facing the same problem: it was hard to quickly connect with folks on social media and share profiles. Trying to navigate URLs or look people up was time-consuming, especially when I wanted to connect with people right then and there.
That's when I thought—what if there was an easier way? That’s how ConnectCode came to life. I built this tool to solve a problem I had faced firsthand. With ConnectCode, you can generate a personalized QR code using your Peerlist or LinkedIn profile URL, choose a background or wallpaper you like, and instantly download it. At your next event, all it takes is a quick scan and you’re connected!
For iPhone users, there’s an extra hack I personally love. I created a Focus mode called "Events" where I set the downloaded wallpaper with the QR code as my lock screen. Now, when I’m at an event/ conference, I just activate it, and anyone can scan my profile directly from my phone screen—no awkward fumbling around! 📱✨
