Perfest, is a portal for college students to get the latest updates on happening events and college fests around them. We aim to create something that would be helpful for not only the users of the portal, but also to the organizers and volunteers of the fests too. This was done with a stats portal with the projections of people that could attend the fest based on current trends. We also gave them a simple portal where they can add events, assign volunteers and issue tickets for cash transactions and get updates in real time. Perfest has been used for Dr. D. Y. Patil's Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology's primary tech fest, held annually in the month of October. We gathered around 5,000 unique users from different colleges on our platform in just a matter of 15 days. Perfest uses react-native-web with typescript for it's frontend, is primarily a Progressive Web App (PWA) and there are plans to compile a cross-platform app soon. On the backend, Perfest is written with node.js and express with MongoDB as our database. We used Docker and CircleCI for deployment on DigitalOcean, along with Sentry for logging and crash reporting.
