ThreadCast turns any Reddit thread into a podcast. It reads the post and top comments aloud, giving each author their own voice so a long thread plays like a real conversation instead of one flat monotone reader.
The core idea is privacy: the AI neural voices run entirely on your device. No cloud, no account, nothing leaves your phone, and it works offline once a voice is downloaded. Most read-aloud tools send your text to a server — ThreadCast deliberately doesn't.
Free: browse any subreddit, queue posts, read comments, system voices, and a sleep mode with ambient sounds and a fade-out timer.
Coming with the Android app: on-device AI neural voices and MP3 export — save any thread as a shareable audio file for any podcast app.
Built solo, end-to-end: a React Native / Expo app with on-device multi-engine neural TTS, a marketing site, and Lemon Squeezy licensing. The Android app is fully TalkBack-accessible for blind and low-vision users.
Available today as a free Chrome extension; the Android app launches soon. iOS later.
