Project Virago is a tool to fight against the hate and bullying that is spread on social media. This idea originated as a discussion over an incident of social media trolling experienced by one of our team members. Upon pondering over the issue, the team realised that there are numerous cases of hate speech, bullying and trolling that are overlooked mainly because there is no such tool available for fast detection and quick response of the issue that persists. Initially, Virago was supposed to be a tool for detecting hate speech against women but due to technical purposes, we switched over to making it a more generalised model. The team will continue to work for the original idea and will begin working on the release Version2.0 of this tool once Version1.0 gets fully improvised.
