A practical guide to launching on Peerlist the right way - lessons from my launch story.
Launching on Peerlist isn’t just about posting your project - it’s storytelling, timing, and genuine engagement with the builder community.
When I launched Ticketping, it ended up securing the #1 spot for the week, and along the way, I learned a few things.
Before you hit publish, ensure that it says 100% on project completion score. Here's a quick checklist:
Name: Short, memorable - one or two words combo.
Logo: Ensure that it looks clean at 64x64 pixels.
Tagline: Make it instantly clear what your product does - not more than 4-6 words.
Screenshots: Utilize all the slots for screenshots available. More the better!
Demo video: While this is optional, I highly recommend you to make one. Even a simple screen recording works.
Description: This is where you squeeze the marketing copy your landing page and tell your story. If someone is reading this, they clicked twice, so they're really interested in checking out.
Peerlist is a community, unlike other launchpads, discovery of products is passive here. Users mostly spend time posting/engaging like on X and #buildinpublic communities. If you want visibility, engage with others: comment, upvote, and appreciate projects you genuinely like. By the time you launch, your profile already carries social trust - and that makes a big difference. I spent over 100 days before launching.
In days leading to launch, share screenshots and updates of your project. People love to see when things are coming together. Show before/after screenshots too, or a quick video.
During the launch week, focus more on sharing short textual insights (you'll know why I say textual only soon). For eg: things you learned or tricky problems you solved or small wins. Maybe check my post history during mid-October 2025. I can't really make a blueprint, let your marketing creativity shine. If you spend time here, you'll know. This week is really important!
After the launch week, share analytics insights or thank the community etc.
Post original content atleast thrice a day during launch week, at an interval or 4-6 hours. Reshare some of those banger posts after 12+ hours of posting it to reach users from other timezones. Don't overdo it, just 1 reshare.
When you post during the launch week, include your project link, it'll automatically expand with a clean widget like this. Cool thing about this is, the upvote button is right there. So, if someone likes what your project name+tagline, they may just hit upvote.
If you attach a photo/video in this post, the embed will be pushed down (thus losing user's attention), so ensure these posts are text only.
Talk about your project's cool features or challenges you faced while building it or any insight. It appeals to the builders here, provides some value and doesn't come off as just another marketing post.

I literally shared screenshots of launchpad rankings on insta/whatsapp too lol. Got a few friends interested, they joined and upvoted.
Also, post on your other social networks where you have good reach, X or LinkedIn.
Again, storytelling is the key. People like to see struggle + wins, especially friends or those who know you. For eg: I spent last 3 months building this Slack app for customer support, now it's trending on Peerlist! Add a screenshot of Launchpad ranking to make it authentic.
Don't launch on your first week of joining Peerlist. Build your network, garner some followers, show up everyday and get that streak count up!
Don't beg for upvotes. Posts like "Help me reach 50 upvotes" sound like begging. Just don't. Real active users will just block you.
Don't post and disappear. Converse on yours and others' posts. More importantly, converse on project launches, check out their product, share feedback, etc.
Don't spam links in all your posts. Mix links in between, like once in 4 posts.
Peerlist isn't a marketing channel. The builder community here rewards authenticity and value. If you show up as a builder sharing lessons - not a marketer chasing upvotes - the community pays attention.
Here’s hoping your launch makes the next leaderboard!
PS: Just wanted to thank the community, builders, and also the makers of Peerlist for this wonderful place - and helping Ticketping secure #1 spot in week 43 launchpad.
