Challenge: Emergency Dental of America faced poor website performance across 20+ locations. Their WordPress sites, built with Elementor and WP Bakery, suffered from slow load times due to database bloat and inefficient asset loading, negatively impacting user experience and SEO. Solution: I led a comprehensive redesign and optimization strategy to improve site speed, SEO, and user engagement. Key contributions included: • Custom Theme Development: Built a custom WordPress theme using ACF flexible content blocks, offering design flexibility while reducing database overhead and improving code efficiency. • Website Optimization: Implemented intelligent asset loading, caching techniques, and a CDN to significantly improve load times across devices. • SEO Enhancements: Conducted keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, restructured content architecture, and optimized permalinks for better search visibility. • Data-Driven Design: Leveraged GA4 and MS Clarity to analyze UX trends and friction points, driving improvements like optimized CTA placement and streamlined navigation. • CRO & GTM Key Events: Highlighted effective CTAs and content through data analysis, making them more prominent in the customer journey. Results: The new UI/UX delivered measurable improvements: • Mobile Lighthouse Score: Increased from 29 to 91 • Desktop Lighthouse Score: Increased from 44 to 96 • Faster Page Load Times: Boosting engagement and reducing bounce rates • Improved SEO: Leading to higher organic traffic and search rankings • Scalable Architecture: The custom theme supports future growth with ease.
