Splitframe: free GPX and FIT video overlays and a video editor for cyclists, runners and outdoor athletes

Splitframe turns your activity data into animated telemetry overlays for your ride, run and race videos. Upload a GPX or FIT file from Strava, Garmin, Wahoo, COROS, Suunto or Polar. You get live widgets for speed, pace, heart rate, power, cadence, distance, elevation, gradient, time and your route map, all synced to your footage.

Edit your whole video in one place. Drop your GoPro or action-camera clips and your music onto the timeline. Splitframe lines each clip up with your activity using the time it was recorded. You can trim, split, layer and fade clips, then export a finished MP4 with the overlay and sound included.

Or export just the overlay for the editor you already use. Splitframe exports transparent ProRes 4444, WebM or PNG sequences in 1080p or 4K at 24, 30 or 60 fps, ready for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve and CapCut.

Features:

• Over 25 widget styles, including speedometers, heart-rate zone bars, ECG heart rate, grade profiles, altimeters, race clocks and route maps

• 16:9, 9:16 (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) and 1:1 layouts

• Export just part of your activity by time, distance or a section of the map

• Instagram Story stickers with 16 templates, made from your Strava activities or a GPX/FIT file

• Heart-rate and power zones based on your Max HR and FTP

Private by design. Parsing, preview, editing and encoding all run in your browser. Your GPX file and footage are never uploaded, and you don’t need an account or have to install anything.
