GitComet is an open-source desktop Git client for Linux, macOS, and Windows. It gives you a visual interface for reviewing code changes, making commits, and managing branches. Its focus is speed, especially when working with large repositories and large diffs.
You can use it to:
Review changes: view inline or side-by-side diffs, including comparisons that understand code structure through Difftastic.
Create focused commits: stage entire files, individual blocks, or selected lines.
Manage history: browse commits and branches, and interactively reorder, squash, rename, or drop commits.
Resolve merge conflicts: use two-way and three-way comparison and merge tools.
Work across repositories: manage multiple repositories and worktrees, pull and push to remotes, and work with Git LFS and git-annex. Feature overview (https://gitcomet.dev/)
It runs locally, and the open-source edition is free for personal and commercial use without an account. It can also serve as the diff or merge tool launched from Git commands, including a mode without a graphical window for scripts and automation.
