i18n looked simple… until it broke everything

I thought localization would take a day. It turned into weeks of messy files, missing translations, and chaos.

i18n looked simple… until it broke everything

At first, it felt simple.

I added a few JSON files, translated some strings, and everything just worked.
It honestly seemed like localization was a one-day task.

Then things started breaking.

Translations were missing in production.
Hardcoded strings kept slipping in.
Files went out of sync.
And slowly, the codebase became something no one wanted to touch.

Adding one more language shouldn’t feel like this.

But somehow, it always does.

That’s when it clicked.

Localization isn’t just about translating text.
It’s a workflow problem.

And most setups don’t really solve that—they just add more files.

So I decided to fix it.

That’s why I built Babelize — a simpler way to manage translations, automate workflows, and scale without the usual mess.

If you’ve faced this too, would appreciate your support 🙌
