ASL Shredder removes one selected regular file and records what the operation verified. It runs locally on Windows without an account, network connection or telemetry. Folders, links and reparse points are refused.

For declared magnetic hard disks, overwrite profiles include single-pass, historical multi-pass and custom random plans, with full read-back verification. SSD, flash, virtual and unknown media allow logical deletion without a media-sanitization claim. An exact confirmation phrase and review precede removal.

The app produces a local JSON receipt and offers an optional HMAC-chained audit ledger. Receipts distinguish observed software overwrite from logical deletion; they do not certify NIST Clear, Purge or physical destruction. Snapshots, cloud copies, backups and SSD remapping can preserve other copies. Sold through the Microsoft Store as a paid app.
