Beware of such emails.

I received this email a few days ago and was a bit surprised. However, within a couple of hours, both the account and the notification were removed from GitHub. I later found out that it wasn’t an official GitHub notification but a message from a scam account.

These are scams designed to trick you into downloading a “new version” of an application. In reality, you end up installing malware. It’s completely unsafe for your device—stay cautious and don’t fall for it.
