ProxyShard – Smart Proxy Manager

This is our proprietary extension for Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and other Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Opera, Brave, Yandex, etc.). It allows you to add, switch, and test proxies in just a couple of clicks directly from your browser, without needing any third-party software.

The extension is available in the official Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons. The Chrome Web Store version can also be easily installed in Edge, Opera, Brave, and other Chromium browsers.

SOCKS5 Limitation in Chromium Browsers: Google Chrome (and other Chromium-based browsers) natively lacks support for login/password authentication via SOCKS5 proxies. This limitation persists for extensions based on Manifest V3. You can use SOCKS5 through the extension only:

• Without credentials (anonymous proxy)

• With IP address whitelisting

For proxies with authorization, use the HTTP/HTTPS protocol, which is fully supported.

SOCKS5 in Mozilla Firefox: SOCKS5 works through the extension in the Mozilla Firefox version, so you can use SOCKS5 profiles directly for Firefox.
