Taliri is a Chrome extension that swaps a few words on the pages you already read into the language you're learning. No lessons to open, no streak to protect: the web becomes your textbook.
Read as usual. A few words on the page swap into Swedish, German, Hindi, Spanish or French, starting with the most common ones.
Hover a word for its meaning and the sentence you met it in.
It checks. After a few meetings the word comes back masked as a quick four-choice question. Only your answers count, and spaced repetition (FSRS) decides when it returns.
Words step back. Once a word has done its job, it melts back into English with a small puff of sparkles, so the page goes back to plain reading.
How to say it. A learner-friendly respelling sits above the word (vatten is VAT-ten), with optional IPA, for Swedish, German and Hindi.
Reading happens on your device. Page text never leaves it, and the extension never sends what you read, page addresses or your browsing history. Once a week the plan check carries your language and a few counts (words met, answers), never the words.
Ten weeks and 1,100+ commits. Claude designed, specified, built the UI and audited. Codex wrote the backend and logic. Every change was checked by a second model, and every dictionary entry was written by one lab's model and checked by another's.
$7/month or $49/year, with a 14-day refund. taliri.app is a live demo you can try without signing up.
