Pocket Screen is a lightweight macOS menu bar app that keeps the windows you need visible in compact, always-on-top live previews while you work.

Keep a document, browser page, chat, video, dashboard, tutorial, or almost any other app window in view without repeatedly switching between windows. Pocket Screen is especially useful on a single display, where reference material is often hidden behind the app you are actively using.

Capture the frontmost window from the menu bar or with a configurable global shortcut. You can display up to two windows at the same time, then move and resize each floating preview wherever it is most useful.

Focus View lets you select and enlarge only the part of a window you need, while still allowing you to return to the full-window view at any time. You can also pause a preview, adjust its opacity, temporarily hide individual or all previews, and enable click-through mode so mouse input reaches the application underneath.

Choose from Power Saving, Standard, and Smooth display modes depending on whether you prefer lower resource usage or more fluid updates.

Pocket Screen uses macOS Screen Recording permission only to display selected windows as local live previews. It does not create recording files, store captured content, or upload screen content to external servers.

The app is free to download and can be used in repeated 10-minute sessions. Unlimited access is available through an optional one-time in-app purchase. There is no subscription and no user account is required.
