Square Town is a live, 3D favicon map. Paste a URL, pick any empty cell, pay $1 once — and your site's favicon lives there. No accounts, no uploads, no subscriptions.
The rules are the game. Anyone can evict a square by paying double what its owner paid. The 4×4 Throne in the middle starts at $100 and doubles with every eviction. Icons nobody has kissed for 90 days fade to grayscale — and anyone can kiss any icon, for free. The map only grows (16×16 → 32×32 → … → 1024×1024) when the live area is 70 % full.
It's a town, not a grid. Tilt into 3D and every favicon becomes a tower whose height is its click+kiss count, tinted with the icon's own colours. Empty cells grow trees and pool into lakes, the sun follows your local time, and windows light up one by one after dark. A little director runs the town's life: birds, a hot-air balloon, a cat, ducks, a very slow tortoise, a delivery van after every purchase, rain and rainbows that mirror the real weather where you are, fireworks after dark — and rarer visitors (there's a field guide at square.pov.town/field-guide). Everything happens live, on every open browser, over WebSockets.
