VartaLang - Language Exchange to Career Platform

Engineered the Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Socket.IO backend for a deployed language-exchange and jobs platform with 50+ signed-up users, JWT authentication, reciprocal matching, and real-time chat.

• Implemented persisted Socket.IO chat with read receipts, blocking, reporting, and per-user soft deletion; added optional Sarvam translation and Indic-language text-to-speech after message delivery.

• Automated 7-day listing expiry with node-cron and later MongoDB TTL cleanup; expired jobs leave the public site and remain in the admin panel for manual paid extensions.

• Selected for the Sarvam Startup Program.

• Tech: Next.js, Node.js, Express.js, Socket.io, MongoDB, JWT, Sarvam AI, Vercel, Render.
