Wiretap is an open-source developer tool built in Go for inspecting and understanding application behavior at runtime. The project explores lightweight observability, execution visibility, and systems-level instrumentation without requiring developers to restructure an entire application around a heavyweight monitoring platform. I built Wiretap as part of my broader exploration of Go, runtime behavior, developer tooling, and systems engineering. The project gave me hands-on experience designing command-line tooling, working with concurrent systems, structuring Go applications, handling runtime data, building developer-facing interfaces, and thinking about how complex application behavior can be made easier to inspect and debug.
