I am an experiences MySQL specialist and helped tunes MySQL queries for many many companies. But the output of MySQL's EXPLAIN command was for me and everyone else always a miracle. I can work with it - but most can't as it is is so complex. So I began a journey to analyze the output, find patterns and build a visualization of a query's behaviour step by step.
