From Solo Builder to Shark Tank Winner: How I'm Building iKawn, the Commerce Intelligence OS

I'm Vineet Sawant. I've spent 15+ years at the intersection of AI, ecommerce, and consumer behavior. Last week, iKawn won investment at Solapur Shark Tank Season 2 - a national startup funding competition held at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, organized by Uddyam PAHSUI Foundation.

But this post isn't about the win. It's about what we're building and why.

The Problem

Ecommerce brands today are drowning in tools. A tool for creatives. A tool for scheduling. A tool for analytics. A tool for product photography. None of them talk to each other. None of them think.

Brands don't need more tools. They need intelligence.

What is iKawn?

iKawn is a Commerce Intelligence OS. Not another dashboard. Not another connector. An operating system where AI agents understand your brand, your products, your customers, and act on that understanding.

The core framework is SDOO: Sense, Decide, Orchestrate, Outcome. Every action in iKawn follows this loop. The platform senses signals from your brand ecosystem, decides what matters, orchestrates the right agent for the job, and drives measurable outcomes.

Meet Ruhi

Ruhi is iKawn's orchestration layer, the conversational AI that coordinates everything. She's not a chatbot. She's the brain that reads your brand context, routes tasks to specialized agents, and learns from every interaction.

Behind Ruhi sits a suite of purpose-built agents:

1) Genie: text-to-image generation tuned for commerce

2) Remix: lifestyle and variant generation from a single product shot

3) Prism: product photography and creative direction

4) Lazarus: image-to-video, including first-last-frame workflows

5) Muse: cinematic video production

6) Shopkeeper: Shopify store management and optimization

Each agent is specialized. Ruhi decides which one to deploy, when, and why. That's the difference between a feature and an operating system.

The Architecture

I built this solo. 250,000+ lines of code. 282 commits. The stack runs on Nuxt 3, Fly.io, Express.js, and Postgres. Every brand gets isolated context -- multi-tenant by design, not by afterthought.

The real moat isn't any single agent. It's the Commerce Ontology -- a living semantic model that agents read from and write to. Every brand interaction enriches it. Every enrichment makes every agent smarter. That's the network effect.

Why Commerce Intelligence?

The market is moving from "tools that do things" to "systems that think." Shopify gave every brand a storefront. Meta gave every brand an ad platform. Nobody has given every brand an intelligent operating system for commerce operations.

That's the gap iKawn fills.

We're not competing with Canva or Hootsuite or Shopify. We're building the layer that sits across all of them -- sensing, deciding, orchestrating, and delivering outcomes.

What's Next

iKawn is live with early clients across tourism, lifestyle, and luxury verticals. We're targeting a Series A in late 2026.

The Solapur Shark Tank win was validation. But the real validation comes every day when Ruhi processes a brand brief, spins up the right agents, and delivers work that would have taken a team of five a full week, in minutes.

If you're an ecommerce brand tired of stitching together 12 tools that don't talk to each other, or an investor looking at the Commerce Intelligence category, I'd love to connect.
