Hang on , Little more

The story of hanging little more for your product

Hang on , Little more

My Story: Making YouTube Descriptions Better

I started with one simple idea: I wanted clean YouTube descriptions.

This meant having a good, neat spot for everything:

  • All my social media links

  • My courses

  • My music

  • My YouTube videos

  • My products

  • My gear

  • And everything else

It all needed to be in a nice, clean layout, with my own brand and my face. That's why I made Superr.bio. No tricks, no fancy story. Thats why I call it Link in bio for youtubers

Building My First Side Project Seriously

I started this about a year ago, while working a full-time job. Whenever I had time to build, I worked on it with my younger brother, Vipin. He's also a developer. This was our side project.

Landing Page Old

Current - We know it looks more professional

We got more confident as we built. We bought Superr.tools and put our project there. But as we kept building, we realised something. Superr.bio (with two "r"s - because it was cheap around 1500 Indian rupees ) would look better and more professional. So, we bought that name instead.

The code stayed the same, but the project name changed. Now, it's a full "Link in bio for YouTubers." We even added a way for people to pay.

Before Launch

I posted this on LinkedIn 6 months before

40,000 Subscribers User - UI tech channel from india
1000 Subscribers User- hindi devotional channel

2 Months Before , We crossed 100+ Users ( Mostly devs , Not youtubers )

We finally launched Superr.bio officially on Peerlist Launchpad after a year work

Product changes after Launch day:

  • Updated Main Profile Header a day before launch - which is top most attention

  • Added Support for youtube playlist

  • Updated Main primary Color to Purple

  • Fixed few bugs ( After login 404 issues , features width , Subscribe button missing )

  • Added template - this is biggest one changed recently

  • Changed from bottomsheet to sidebar for on main user bio page

  • Added New Collapsible layout like Faqs

  • Added Background support for to each Sections

  • Username onboarding flow changed

  • Created Canva Demo Videos , Pictures

    Current version of Superr.bio

We both know , It looks better than Linktree , But who cares

This whole process was tough , exciting and made me anxious at times. I mostly shared how I was building it publicly.

After Launch :

  • Connected with one user who suggested for "Collab with me feature" from LinkedIn

  • Connected with one founder working on Youtube Shorts space

  • Released 10+ features and bug fixes

  • Got Around 72+ upvote , Means "Idea is validated" , or Please let me know what do you think

  • 30 New Users signed Up

  • Mobile is winner

  • Can't left iphone users too

  • Added deep linking on youtube videos

  • One with 414 subscribers - gamer joined among 30 new sign-ups

Last 7 days data from vercel analytics :
Visitors : 750
Page Views : 1750
From peerlist : 50

Bitter Truth : No one bought the Superr.bio PASS even for $8.99/yearly on Saturday 19th july

I also posted that on linkedin and x ( almost 0 response)

I feel like I am in "Hang on Little more " phase

Why I calling it as , Because There are too many self doubts , confusions

  • Upvotes , Likes , Comments , Feedbacks gives us Dopmaine hits

  • No conversions: This is the core issue. Users are likely visiting but not finding enough value to pay , You can checkout here

    https://peerlist.io/vivekgautamj/project/superrbio

  • Marketing and storytelling: I feel this is a weakness, which directly impacts why people aren't converting , Usecases , Blogs , Video Demos might be a miss

  • Should I add AI in it ?

  • Should I add more features ? But no one is converting or looking at it

  • Should you release it on Product Hunt? , Does that work out ?

  • Should you make it open source? , because project to chal nahi raha , lets other involve in this , because we are not creating anything unique here. Its a Vitamin not a pain killer product.

  • I took 1 year in launch , thats bad

What should i do next ? :
Honestly , I don't know

It's tough when you pour your heart and soul into a project for months, launch it, and don't see the immediate traction you hoped for. But 72+ upvotes gives me a little hope. Thanks to Peerlist Thanks for keeping up the confiendence level.

I feel , I am judging too much early myself , feelings of sadness and self-doubt are very normal in the startup journey, especially after launch. But for upcoming month , Below are the points i will be working on.

Marketing and Storytelling

  • Will not adding more features, No feature bloating

  • Will try to reach out to more users by creating their pre-creating their profile

  • Add use-cases page

  • Add Blogs

  • Improve SEO

  • Release lifetime offer

  • Can I make more easier to less friction to add details ?

  • might introduce only 1 feature - as I promised Import from Linktree and Collab Feature

  • Support for Flipkart / Ebay / Amazon Affiliate links

Closing

Launch gave me reality check. I have not become a millionaire after launch

If you building and in same boat . It's completely normal to feel demotivated. Building a product is hard, and the emotional rollercoaster is real. Remember why you started Superr.bio. Focus on learning from this initial launch, not on it being a failure. Every successful product has gone through many iterations and pivots.

If you are here reading this line , Feel free to share Superr.bio with friends and family. I am happy to help.
