Smart Home Cinema is a Windows voice-control layer for local movie playback.
It is built for people who watch local movie files from a Windows PC connected to a TV, monitor, or home cinema setup and want hands-free control from bed, sofa, or across the room.
It works with VLC Media Player and PotPlayer. It is not a streaming service, not a media player, and not a media library system. Instead, it controls your existing local playback setup and keeps your movie files on your own PC.
Smart Home Cinema now includes two ways to control local movies by voice:
• Local Voice Edition — uses a microphone connected to your Windows PC and a local voice engine for direct voice control. No Alexa, Google Assistant, TriggerCMD, Google Home, or smart speaker is required for normal movie control.
• Voice Assistant Edition — uses Alexa or Google Assistant with TriggerCMD to send commands to your Windows PC. This edition remains useful for users who already prefer smart assistant workflows.
Both editions control the same core movie experience: playback, pause, skip, next movie, subtitles, Command Center, display switching, local folder actions, and end-of-session control.
Playback automation runs locally on your PC. Local Voice Edition can control movies offline after trial or license activation, except for specific online actions such as activation, license rebinding, or optional OpenSubtitles subtitle downloads.
Control your local movies by voice from bed. Works with VLC and PotPlayer on Windows.
A 14-day free trial is available from the official website.
