Here's why you should.... 💡
The 5V framework is a documentation framework that focuses on the following:
Velocity
Veracity
Value
Volume
Varity
Now let's talk about what each V means and why it is important.... 🤓
Velocity.... 1️⃣
It is important to document how long it took to achieve what you achieved. This adds useful context and facilitates better planning for future works.... ⚡️
Veracity.... 2️⃣
Making sure what you are documenting is as factually correct as possible is very important as it will become a point of reference for future documentation. Veracity is also one of my core brand values [check my bio].... 😇
Value.... 3️⃣
Tying your work with the value generated from it is very important as in the capitalist world we live in, what you're worth is determined by the value you create.... 📈
Volume.... 4️⃣
I'm also a quality > quantity guy but documenting the quantity is important. It is an important metric and unlike quality, volume is not subjective.... ⏹️
Varity.... 5️⃣
This is pretty obvious as the diversity of the work opens up different possibilities. Documenting that properly makes it a very useful reference point for future planning.... ⭕️
I got this framework from Kuldeep's session at adplist.org's BeMore festival. He has also published a book that goes deeper into this and other useful frameworks. Do check that out.... 📖
