Why and how should one approach networking...? 🤔

As an introvert, I like the way Matt demystified networking in his session at adplist.org's BeMore festival.... 💡

Networking gets a bad reputation because people see many doing it wrong by approaching it like a sales channel. But that's not what it is. If you network like a cold-calling sales agent, you won't grow your network.... 😅

This also makes many uncomfortable doing it because they don't wanna be associated with that reputation.... :3

But if you approach it with the genuine curiosity of meaningful conversations with people you find interesting, it'll be like making new friends in school.... 😌

As an introvert who doesn't enjoy small talk, and can go on for weeks without the need to talk to anyone, I can confirm this. And I've met many lovely people through it.... 🫂
