show HappyHorse 1.0 API looks like a serious building block for video apps

I pay attention to AI video launches mostly for one reason: can I build around them without inventing a ton of glue logic?

HappyHorse 1.0 just got public API access, and the structure is better than most.

What it ships with:

  • text-to-video

  • image-to-video

  • multi-reference video generation

  • natural-language video editing

What I like:

  • separate endpoints for separate workflows

  • simple per-second pricing

  • prompt patterns that seem designed for controllability

A few practical notes from the launch material:

  • camera language matters a lot

  • numbered shot prompts seem to work well

  • i2v becomes more reliable when you describe motion instead of the source image

  • short durations appear to be more stable for living-photo style output

Pricing:

  • 720P: 0.9 RMB/sec

  • 1080P: 1.6 RMB/sec

I think this is interesting for builders working on:

  • creative copilots

  • ad generators

  • product demo tools

  • image-to-video storytelling apps

Tried through EvoLink.

The shift I'm watching: video models are finally being packaged as workflow-aware APIs instead of showcase demos.
