Y2MP3 Convert is a free web tool for saving an MP3 copy of a YouTube video you have permission to use. It focuses on one recording at a time, with no account or installation.

Choose 128, 192 or 320 kbps and follow the processing stages. The published limits are 4.5 hours per video, 512 MiB source audio, 700 MiB output, and five attempts per source connection per hour. Ready files expire after 15 minutes.

The site includes guidance for longer recordings, bitrate selection and common errors. A higher bitrate does not restore missing source detail. Source availability and browser downloads can still cause failures.

Built with Vite and Tailwind for the front end, with a separate conversion service. I welcome feedback on the clarity of the progress messages and limits.
