Customize your resume with role-specific keywords, especially for remote or hybrid roles. How to Identify Relevant Keywords: Read multiple job descriptions for similar roles. Check company websites and career pages for buzzwords and value statements. Follow industry newsletters, podcasts, and communities to stay current on evolving terminology.

Remote-Ready? Reflect That in Your Profile: Remote work is the norm for many companies. Show that you’re prepared: Add a line about your remote work setup and comfort with tools like Zoom, Slack, Asana, or GitHub. Include location flexibility in your summary (e.g., “Open to remote, hybrid, or onsite roles”). Highlight achievements in distributed teams, async communication, or cross-time-zone collaboration.
