This is the output of course Design Project: Design, Trends, and Aesthetics; my first Design Project at NID. The mango cutter which had a lot of issues was redesigned for the rural people in a way to keep costs intact and make their work output better. 


Aam Katna - redesign of traditional Indian mango cutter

This is a solution that caters to the parent and child of the family who uses a two-wheeler and could be used both as a seat cover and a safety belt. This nullifies the chances of the parent forgetting the product before the journey, plus the solution though made primarily for children could even be used for elders and for carrying goods.  

The product sticks to the seat via Velcro and can be used to fasten the child with the parent. The estimated manufacturing cost of the product will be less than ₹200.


Child Safety Seat Belt - for two-wheelers 

The result of our System Design course, this output is aimed at teaching children the values that correct waste disposal and segregation hold; this game- DumpShot, takes you on a journey which brings you face to face with many real-life problems that come with open waste disposal, throwing waste in water bodies and burning of waste. The game has been designed keeping in mind the observations and habits of people in Penumatcha, Andhra Pradesh, India. 
With global warming and climate change coming to its peak, it’s high time that we start taking measures now. With kids being our future they need to be responsible for the Earth they live in.

DumpShot 

The app is designed for Indian families, to help those elderly who are willing to do some part-time job, so as to reduce their feel of being lonely and a burden on their family; make them independent. 
Happy Budhapa has features that help elders, who feel lonely, to connect them to friends and communities of their interest. It has some of the most useful features for elderlies as well as their families like it allows the user to see other nearby people who are going to the same place, they can connect with each other instantly through call or text; use carpool, hitchhiking and grow their friend circle and many more features.

Kirayak is a solution that caters to the problems bus conductors face with the old and bulky handheld ticketing device they carry. Kirayak is a solution that will be like a wristwatch made of silicon and a separate Bluetooth printer with card swipe mechanism, which will be on the belt. 
The solution is intended to be distributed by the APSRTC, Gov. of Andhra Pradesh, India.
