• Used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to fix 40+ issues in my company's eCommerce website theme.
• Fixes included adding a more prominent category hierarchy, adding a more responsive design to all pages, making advanced search more accessible, adding product carousels.

Software Developer and I.T. Specialist

• Redesigned and coded Rice CS Club website, adding completely new, fully responsive design for
mobile + tablet devices, utilizing React and TailwindCSS.
• Learned full-stack development and version control using Git through a mentorship-based program.

• Built a PDF parsing Python program, using PDFMiner and PDFPlumber APIs, that parses through voting ballots and retrieves the location of each individual word and voting bubble on the ballot. The program was used in tandem with a larger research project to automate the process of getting location information from ballots.
• Developed effective skills in reading API documentation, API usage, Python programming, and time management as a result of working in a deadline-oriented setting.
• Attended team meetings and full member lab meetings headed by Director Michael Byrne, to communicate and solve project problems and to gain exposure to the field of Human-Computer Interaction.

Computer Science Research Work

• Worked for 5+ professors during COVID-19 Pandemic, guiding them to best utilize software tools and hardware equipment to accommodate online college education.
• Helped teachers recognize and fix learning issues evidenced in both fully online and hybrid (online and in-person) education.
