As Volunteering with the Red Cross was a great way to gain valuable experience while giving back to the community. As a Red Cross volunteer during My Under graduation years, I was involved in a variety of activities that promote Humanitarian services, Fundraising, and Blood Donation Drives. Blood Donation Drives: Red Cross volunteers play an essential role in organizing blood donation drives. You may help recruit donors, set up donation centers, and assist with donor registration and screening. Youth Services: As a Red Cross volunteer, you may work with young people to promote leadership, social responsibility, and community service. You may assist in organizing events like youth camps, leadership retreats, and peer mentoring programs. Fundraising: The Red Cross relies on donations to support its humanitarian services. As a volunteer, you may help with fundraising activities like organizing charity events, soliciting donations, and grant writing.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a voluntary organization in India that aims to promote social welfare and community development. NSS volunteering involves students or young adults engaging in various social and community activities for a period of two years. In My first year of NSS volunteering is focused on basic orientation and training, where volunteers are introduced to various social issues and given training on how to address them. This may involve activities like conducting surveys, organizing awareness campaigns, and participating in community development projects. During the second year of NSS volunteering, volunteers are expected to take on more leadership roles and actively participate in the planning and execution of social and community development activities. This may involve working with local NGOs, government agencies, or other social organizations to address specific issues like education, health, sanitation, and environmental conservation.
