UI/UX Design Intern - Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Intern who is passionate about creating user-friendly and visually appealing digital experiences. As a UI/UX Intern, you will work closely with the product, development, and design teams to understand user needs, create intuitive designs, and contribute to real-world projects.

This internship is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build hands-on experience in user interface and user experience design while learning industry-standard design processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing user-friendly web and mobile interfaces

• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows

• Support the team in user research and journey mapping

• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to improve product usability

• Apply UI principles such as typography, color theory, spacing, and visual hierarchy

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute design ideas

• Iterate designs based on feedback and usability considerations

• Maintain consistency across designs and follow design guidelines

Required Skills

• Strong problem-solving mindset

• Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles

• Knowledge of wireframing and prototyping

• Understanding of user flows and journey mapping

• Basic visual design knowledge (layout, typography, color theory)

• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to think through user problems and justify design decisions

• At least 1 detailed case study or personal project showcasing the design process

Good to Have

• Portfolio showcasing design work (preferred but not mandatory)

• Knowledge of animations and micro-interactions

• Familiarity with AI tools in design workflows

• Understanding of design systems and component-based design
