• Supervised local 2nd and 5th-grade students during their field trips to the St. Olaf wetlands • Guided students through “question & answer” and “removing invasive species” activities

• Assisted the Morton Arboretum by removing invasive species such as buckthorn and honeysuckle and trimming down brush throughout the Arboretum's 900 acres of natural areas

• Volunteered at numerous park district events ranging from bingo at the Alfred Rubin Center to Centennial Beach volunteer appreciation days • Assisted with Naper Nights at Naper Settlement; greeted guests and offered directions

• Helped plan this event with Good Shepherd Church to raise awareness of the homeless • Sleep Out Saturday participants experienced a night without a home to provide homeless families with a home; participants showed their support by sleeping out in parking lots, parks and backyards; money raised from the event went to the Bridge Communities Transitional Housing Program

• Prepared hand-packed meals for malnourished children at FMSC centers in Illinois and Minnesota. • FMSC food is distributed to schools, orphanages, and medical clinics in 70 countries
