Engineer within the Aerospace Capability Integration department in Bristol, United Kingdom. My role involved a wide range of projects from air safety and airworthiness to UAS design and integration, slowly venturing in to the world of Machine Learning and AI. I led up Humanitarian Relief business campaigning within Frazer-Nash to support charities and governments in the global humanitarian response effort through the development of novel technologies using drones and helping connections overcome regulatory barriers to technology implementation.

Technically:
- Development of object tracking algorithms using Keras and TensorFlow libraries in Python.
- Developed 3D Models and Meshes for Trent 1000/7000 rotor blade test specimens to run Finite Element Simulations.
- Develop technical briefing packs for Submarine Assurance and attended SQEP panel meetings with the MOD.
- Played an active part in the re-development of Defence Standards DEF-00-970 Part 3 with respect to the CS23 requiremen

UAV Systems Engineer

Working for a Subsidiary of Excelitas - Qioptiq.

- Design and implementation of control algorithms for optical alignment processes.
- Development of test and verification criteria for essential manufacturing and testing processes.
- Analysis of dynamic system data from actuator and step motor systems to deduce system placement accuracy.
- Reduced optical alignment errors (Boresight) to negligible values and identified suitable improvements along with associated project costs.

This role provided me with an insight in to the challenges that are faced in a manufacturing context along with the aerospace standards required within Optics. Additionally, working closely with other departments within Engineering was a valuable insight that will allow me to collaborate with multiple disciplines on the job.

Test Engineer Intern

Providing customer service care to users of the UCAS service on August 17th (AS/A2 Level Results day). Working in a fast paced environment taking phone calls and answering questions which requires multi-tasking and good time management.

Knowledgeable about the UCAS application process, Clearing and Adjustment. Appreciation of University admissions and Educational requirements.

Customer Service Agent

Leading the development of the Peer Assisted Learning initiative. Coordinated a team of 7-10 PAL leaders to ensure that high quality tuition was provided to first year Engineers. Organised tuition groups specific to modules and worked with lecturers in providing additional lecture and learning material.

Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leader and Commitee Member

Worked with an amazing team of UG Engineers from the University of Liverpool working on numerous enhancement projects ranging from STEM outreach to the development of assessment material for Engineering modules.

I organised Module Feedback and summarised in to a new more accessible database for lecturers to review progress and suggestions.

Additionally I lead a project to develop assessment material for Solids and Structures (ENGG110) and Fluid Mechanics (ENGG113) for the University of Liverpool. The content is to be used in first year problem classes that will contribute to their overall grade for the 2017/2018 term. The project duration was six weeks from mid-late June of 2017. Example content can be shared upon University review.

Summer Placement: Enhancement Project Co-ordinator

•	Helped to run the Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering applicant discovery days.
•	Provided a presentation to students on the facilities available at the University along with providing advice and guidance to potential students.

Student Advocate

•	Aiding first year students and providing them with personal and advice care when needed. Also, ensuring they settle in-to a new environment at University.

Peer Mentor

•	Serving my colleagues on the Aerospace Engineering course,
•	Receiving and collecting feedback from colleagues through the use of Google Forms and presenting the feedback data to senior lecturers and head of school staff.
•	Developing Enhancement projects for the School of Engineering.
•	Acting as the main point of contact between the students and lecturers, providing the lecturers with an insight into how modules are being run along with current student satisfaction.
•	Created question banks for the Pilot Studies course module to assist students during their revision.
•	Developing a Boeing 737NG Flight Management Computer tutorial for the Pilot Studies module within the School of Engineering.
•	Representing the Masters (MEng) of Aerospace Engineering at Student Staff Liaison Committee Meetings.
•	Attending and contributing to Aerospace Board of Studies meetings.

Masters of Aerospace Engineering Course Representative

I tutor Physics and Mathematics A2 Level and GCSE to online Students. I have had the privilege of helping students achieve their academic aspirations. Tutoring is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done and allows me to share my passion for my subject areas, hopefully inspiring my students to realise their own potential.

Mathematics and Physics Tutor
