A digital health module within the new Barts medical school curriculum at Queen Mary University of London. The UKs first medical technology education focussed syllabus.

Teaching and mentoring medical students to think about innovation and solving the problems and challenges they see within healthcare. Over the course of the programme they learn about AI, VR, IOTs, raising capital, structuring business plans, understanding the change management processes required and much much more. 

After a successful pilot in 2017, this has now been made a compulsory for all medical students.

Medical students are being fast tracked into the clinical environment and also tens of thousands of healthcare workers have volunteered to come back to the workplace. There is need for upskilling both existing and new healthcare staff at the frontline to practice safely with the necessary skills and competencies.
