Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)

I successfully built a high performing team which was the 1st ever overseas engineering team for Texecom UK in India. During my tenure here, I handled consolidation of multiple &amp; complex firmware into single firmware base and also spearheaded the transformation of the Legacy development process to structured process based on agile approach, Additionally, I was involved in initiating and successfully implementing various improvement activities such as starting an internal testing team, enforcing peer code review, following firmware manual, static analysis and test automation. As a part of my role, I also provided direction and motivation to team to deliver a stable firmware keeping bugs under control while independently handling firmware / application software over the years.

Engineering Manager

I was involved in diverse projects in emerging technologies space including embedded systems and IoT. I have ably developed PoCs to demonstrate cognitive services from IBM, Amazon and PubNub data streaming network (www.pubnub.com). I also work occasionally as trainer in IoT training workshops for industry professionals and college students.

Engineering Consultant

This was my own venture offering Electronics Design Services from concept to prototype. The projects I handled spanned all aspects of electronic product development including specifications, realizing a prototype, programming, application software development as well as testing and validation. Over the years, I successfully handled entire life cycle of development projects ranging from simple educational kits to complex test equipment used in automotive industry.

Owner

As a Team lead at Vishay, my responsibilities included offering alternative components from Vishay's range to competitor's parts. I learned a lot about the various parameters of electronic components as Vishay has almost all the components under the brand. I had joined Vishay components as a Junior Engineer and was a founding member of the team in India. Later I worked as team leader leading a team of 4 engineers. I succeeded in doubling the throughput of number of components converted per day. This was driven by automation, building databases, establishing procedures and better team work.

Team Lead

Here, my primary responsibilities were acting as a bridge between design offices of Sharp and local manufacturing facility in India. This involved co-ordination with various stakeholders like marketing, purchase, production departments and also with Sharp's design teams abroad. During the course of design transfer to the local manufacturing, I was also responsible for local development of some electronic components, value engineering and most importantly solving design related problems on production line. I worked independently on a few design projects as well which included design of a portable audio system with CD player, design of a FM transmitter circuit and redesign of a class-D amplifier PCB. All these assignments helped me learn about circuit design, PCB layout, manufacturing and electronic components.

Junior Engineer

I own and drive the technical roadmap for Crowcon's software solutions which includes architecting and building modern web and Windows apps. I have architected a cloud native microservices architecture based application involving ASP.NET services and React JS for front end. In addition, I have architected a WPF Windows app with C# and have also successfully implemented various initiatives such as CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps. I have established and am leading a high performing software development team in India for Crowcon from scratch. Together with the team, I am working on various innovative solutions to drive Crowcon's journey in digital transformation. The work involves close collaboration with the leadership team in UK and managing challenging uncertainties in a dynamic business with a huge dependency on hardware products.
