In this role, I was focused on bringing the magic of Alexa to more than 150 million Fire TV devices that provide entertainment to customers worldwide. I led the development and innovation in wake word services, voice middleware, and voice interfaces to media and content for all types of Fire TV devices.

In this role, I led a team that contributed towards the development of A.I Platform, AWS Bedrock, which provides an easy way for developers to build and scale Generative A.I applications with foundation models.

I worked on the company's Application Mining project where I built parsers and code generation tools that automated migration of applications built on legacy code like Cobol, Databus, etc to new generation technologies like VC++ & VB. The parsers were used to build Abstract Syntax Tree from legacy systems and this was used by code generators to generate code in modern languages. These tools were used to migrate legacy systems for organizations like Hitachi Japan and Itochu Techno-Science Japan.

I was one of the core founding team members of travelmob.com which were acquired by HomeAway Inc, USA (now part of Expedia Group).  I had responsibility for the success of Mobile Apps in Emerging Markets once travelmob.com was absorbed into HomeAway systems. Emerging Markets included countries in Asia as well as Latin America. I also led the Data platform initiatives for Emerging Markets. Some of the notable outcomes generated under my leadership were 1> We were the launch partners for Apple Pay in Singapore and HK that generated significant PR Buzz and App downloads 2> Apps were localized and available in 15+ languages that improved user experience and increased traveler conversion 3> Analytics Dashboard for Emerging Markets that identified potential travel corridors and conversion funnels.

I founded Webyana with the objective of enabling the huge base of small and medium enterprises in India to grow their business online. Leveraging the best of the cloud infrastructures and by developing innovative applications that are highly optimized and designed to scale, Webyana provided small businesses with the easy to use tools to do business online at a highly affordable rate.  The flagship product was a Do it yourself website builder that was developed in Ruby on Rails with CouchDB as the backend database on AWS Infrastructure. As founder & CEO, I had responsibility for everything and the company had a team size of 10 engineers at its peak.

As a developer and Tech Lead in Y!, I worked on some of the core products and platforms that were used by hundreds of millions of users. This gave me strong experience in building systems that scaled exponentially. I worked on different products and platforms like Y! Classifieds, Y! Autos, Y! People Search, Self-Service Ads Platform, Vertical Search, Focused crawling and tools for extracting data from unstructured text. Most work on these products was done in C++, PHP, Perl & MySQL. I received quite a few awards and acknowledgements from Yahoo! as recognition of my contributions.

Post the acquisition of Bixee.com & Pixrat.com by ibibo group (formerly MIH India), the India unit of Naspers Media SA, I joined them in the capacity as VP - Search and Platforms.  My responsibility included building core technology platforms of the company as well as vertical search businesses. I led some of the key initiatives such as building scalable  Media Storage & User Database that can handle millions of users, the Search & Crawl Platform and the Data analysis platform. These platforms helped the company to scale its online operations and become a leader in social media space in India. My responsibility also included search business verticals like Jobs, Travel, Ad Platform. I ensured the launch of travel portal goibibo.com before the last date of my employment with ibibo.

In this role, I had following responsibility
* I led teams that built Native Mobile Apps and Group Collaboration features for Vrbo Travelers, an Expedia brand focused on Vacation Rental Industry. I set the goals & success metrics, defined strategy, and helped develop the next generation of passionate and competent technology leaders in Mobile.
* I led the democratization of Mobile App development, where the development was brought out from silos, modularized and component ownership distributed across different functional teams. 
* I oversaw the transition of Mobile Backend layer to GraphQL and helped create one foundational layer for Mobile & Web apps.
* I led initiatives on Native Apps that required alignment with many cross functional teams across the organization. 

In this role, I helped create following major outcomes
* Vrbo Traveler Mobile apps have high app store ratings, ranks among top 10 travel apps and this has been maintained consistently for over 2 years.

Director of Engineering - VRBO Mobile App

I cofounded RHR Networks Pvt Ltd that had 2 flagship products - Bixee.com & Pixrat.com. Bixee was an India focused job search engine created with the intention of providing a one-window snapshot of all the jobs that are available in India. The company had developed a unique product CrawlX built using Python language, which enabled us to crawl and extract job information from thousands of job and company websites. CrawlX did the tough job of identifying key job attributes from an unstructured text in an HTML page. Bixee had millions of jobs in its database and its intelligent search technology enabled job seekers to find the most relevant jobs in India and abroad that suited their profile. This technology was later used to launch other vertical searches like Education, Autos & Travel. 

Pixrat.com was a social picture bookmarking website. It was a new innovation at that time and was featured by likes of techcrunch, CNN money etc.
