Columbia Capital is a leading investment firm that partners with entrepreneurs to build category-defining businesses. However, their website was in need of a revamp as it was looking dated and not effectively communicating their achievements and services. Our goal was to create a website that accurately reflected their position as industry leaders and showcased their success stories.To achieve the goals set out by Columbia Capital, we provided the following services:<ul><li>Design exploration and branding to update the visuals and make sure they aligned with the company's image and values.</li><li>General website design updates to modernize the look and feel of the website, including the header, footer, typography and other global elements.</li><li>New homepage design that incorporated content from existing Home, About, and Strategy pages to provide a clear and concise overview of the company.</li><li>Updating the design of the Team, Portfolio, Sector, and Contact pages to better showcase the company's expertise and services.</li><li>Front and back end development to ensure a seamless user experience and to ensure the website was optimized for search engines.</li></ul>

Columbia Capital

The Arizona Education Progress Meter is a critical data tool aimed at measuring the state's progress towards its Achieve60 AZ goal. The goal of this tool is to initiate discussions and prompt action at various levels, including schools, communities, and the state to improve student outcomes. With over 200 partners, the Education Progress Meter has become a widely accepted framework for education in Arizona.

The client required a user-friendly platform that would provide a comprehensive view of the progress made towards the Achieve60 AZ goal. The platform needed to be easy to use for policy makers, educators, civic leaders, and business leaders across the state.

We proposed a Headless CMS configuration with a React front-end, powered by a custom WordPress backend API. The website design was updated to add new data visualizations to the homepage and improve the overall design and readability. The location map was designed with the help of Mapbox GL to provide an interactive mapping experience that allowed users to visualize data across the state. The indicator page provides a dynamic indicator chart that supported comparison across multiple locations and subgroups.

The Arizona Education Progress Meter is now a user-friendly platform that provides a comprehensive view of the state's progress towards the Achieve60 AZ goal. The powerful interactive mapping experience and the dynamic indicator chart have made it easier for users to visualize and understand the data.

To celebrate the 42nd Earth Day, Earth911.com traveled back to the roots of the modern environmental movement. 

With a full-page retro redesign, far-out features including interviews with Earth Day activists and a custom build-your-own Bumper Sticker App, Earth911 invited its readers on a journey back in time.

Fair Trade Campaigns is a powerful grassroots movement mobilizing Fair Trade consumers and advocates across the US to increase the availability of Fair Trade products.

I worked with Vernal Creative to design and develop this WordPress website. It has a powerful user-generated content system, which allows small teams to create a profile, and complete fulfillments in order to become Fair Trade certified. Hundreds of campaigns are currently active across the country, passing legislation, promoting fair trade products, and holding community events.

This is the third iteration of the GBA website to be designed and built by Okay Plus. The site has evolved from a table-based, Dreamweaver-built relic of its era, to a fast and modern web presence suitable of representing this award-winning architecture firm in Central Vermont.

The site is designed to showcase the wonderful photography of Jim Westphalen, Gary Hall, and others, while providing the user with an intuitive interface for exploring their vast body of work.

Gossens Bachman Architects Website

Photon Medical develops mobile apps that help health care facilities securely communicate in real-time with physicians. The site I designed and built for them, illustrates the high tech nature of their products, as well as the benefits they provide to health care facilities, physicians, and ultimately patients.

I used vibrant photography and illustrations paired with an airy layout and clean typography to lend a modern feel to their brand. Subtle illustrations throughout the site add visual interest and draw the user through the site.
