Founder

I worked as a Webmaster, using Joomla, to create dynamic content for laboratory sales. I worked as part of a scrum to ensure scheduled priority promotions were published and relevant data was shown.

I was part of a team of 4, designing priority promotions and adhering to the design style guides of the company. Whilst I was there I designed the UI of a twitter Web app that allowed to show company tweets on the wall.

Assistant Webmaster

I worked as the lead front end, managing website builds between the UX team and a remote development team.

Whilst working  with Roller I was working to become an integral part of improving their design + development handover and pushing the skill cap of the current team.

I also worked in house with a multitude of their clients to provide support and improvement for a range of different web applications, ranging from CSHTML to Ruby Rails infrastructure.

I incorporated the use of browsersync and SASS through a Gulp script to increase productivity and increase the burn down rate of our agile teams.

Front End Web Developer

I was in charge of managing the development side for a team of UX designers.

Improving and implementing the development/design process we used there, focusing on agile development and quick prototyping with Sketch + Principle and Zeplin to handle the handover process. 

I also built the 2 websites https://intoware.com and https://workfloplus.com from scratch with HUGO, following the BEM methodology with a team of 2.

Towards the end of my time there I also developed the beginnings of a pattern library that combined both the shared library we used from Sketch as well as building a library with Grav (a flat tile CMS) to produce a straight forward system to continue to improve the quality of design throughout the web app. The plan was long term to host this via CDN to use it similarly to bootstrap.

I was contracted to work on React Development for a multi-national Fintech startup specialising in seed investment. I championed the use of Styled components, reusability, and design tokens throughout development. We pushed what was possible within 2 week sprints and ensured every element of the web app was built pixel perfect with global overrides to ensure easy refactoring.
