Founder and executive director of the Toronto Community Co-Location Project Inc., a non-profit server co-location facility modeled after the California Community Co-Location Project. TCCP and CCCP both solved the problem of server-co-location being inaccessible to average systems administrators who only wanted to co-locate one or two machines, being that, at the time, co-location was only available in entire rack units. Cheap managed hosting providers -- and then cloud services -- killed the idea. But it was a good one at the time.

Drove PagerDuty's Digital Operations plan from <10% to over 20% of total ARR by enabling sales teams to cross-sell into IT operations, security, and customer service buyers. Defined messaging, positioning, and launch strategy for all products.

Helped close on the acquisition of Rundeck to bolster PagerDuty's automation capabilities.

I was employed as a systems administrator for CBC.ca where my team managed approximately 80 servers in a heterogeneous FreeBSD, Solaris, Linux, HP/UX and Windows environment. On a day-to-day basis I managed the CBC.ca content delivery server infrastructure consisting of web server and application server farms and the Akamai content delivery network for both HTTP traffic and media streaming, as well as service support machines such as the Request Tracker ticketing system, database servers, e-mail infrastructure, and the development and QA environments. As such I gained extensive experience in the configuration of Apache HTTPD, Jakarta Tomcat, Postfix, DNS and PostgreSQL, among many other standard UNIX services.
