MakeBetterCalls - Free Tools for Better Project DecisionsI'm a Project Manager, and MakeBetterCalls started as a small side project inspired by things I deal with regularly at work.Estimating development tasks, checking whether a project is actually ready to start, figuring out realistic delivery dates or making sure nothing important gets missed before a release.I used to handle these things with different notes, spreadsheets and checklists. Eventually, I decided to bring some of them together and turn them into simple online tools that other people could use too. What's inside?MakeBetterCalls currently includes six free tools:

Quick Task Estimate - Estimate the effort behind a digital or software task, including uncertainty and a planning buffer.

Lead Qualification - Assess whether a potential project is worth pursuing before investing more time in it.

Project Readiness - Check whether your team is actually ready to begin work and identify possible blockers.

Go-Live Checklist - Review important checks before releasing a website or web application.

Delivery Date Calculator - Calculate realistic delivery dates based on working hours, weekends, public holidays and a planning buffer.

Ready-to-Code - Check whether a development ticket is clear enough for someone to start working on it.

Why I built itIn my experience, a lot of project problems start with relatively small things: unclear requirements, overly optimistic estimates, missing decisions or assumptions nobody thought to verify.I wanted to make those everyday checks easier and quicker. These tools won't replace proper project management or conversations with your team. They're simply meant to help you ask better questions before making a decision.Free to useEverything is available directly in your browser.

No account required.

No subscriptions or paid plans.

Six practical tools you can use whenever you need them.

I'd love your feedbackThis is an independent project that I'm continuing to improve. If you're a Project Manager, developer, freelancer or someone working on digital projects, I'd be curious to hear what you think.Which tool would you actually use? What's missing? Is there something you'd approach differently?Feel free to give it a try: https://makebettercalls.com/
