Designed and built Simple Invoice Generator (invoicegenapp.com) from scratch as a solo founder — a full-stack SaaS invoicing application for freelancers and small businesses.
Responsibilities included end-to-end product development: frontend with Angular 17, backend with Firebase Cloud Functions, payment processing with PayPal REST API, email delivery with SendGrid, and PDF generation with html2canvas and jsPDF.
Accomplishments:
- Integrated live PayPal subscriptions with full webhook lifecycle management
- Built multi-page PDF export with custom pagination and dynamic footers
- Achieved 41 new users in the first week after launch
- Listed on G2 (DR 91) and Capterra (DR 87) within days of launch
- Set up full SEO infrastructure including structured data, sitemap, and GA4
Key learnings:
- Firebase is exceptionally powerful for solo founders — auth, database, hosting, and functions in one platform
- Getting the first users is harder than building the product
