When building machine learning models—especially in domains like mental health, social behavior, or language—everything depends on the quality of your labels. But most annotation systems assume labels are correct as soon as someone clicks an option. But what if disagreement itself was valuable? What if instead of hiding uncertainty, you could measure it? That’s where JuryDuty comes in. JuryDuty is a data annotation platform built around the idea that labels should be earned, not assumed. Instead of relying on a single annotator, the same data sample is intentionally shown to multiple annotators. But how does this help? With JuryDuty, every annotation is stored independently, allowing the system to explicitly measure inter-annotator agreement using statistical metrics like Cohen’s Kappa. This makes it easy to identify samples where annotators disagree, instead of silently averaging them or treating them as ground truth. So how does it work? Researchers define labeling tasks and upload data samples to the platform. Each sample is assigned to multiple annotators, who work independently. Once annotations are complete, JuryDuty computes agreement scores, highlights low-confidence samples, and makes disagreement visible for re-annotation or expert review. The data model cleanly separates tasks, annotators, and annotations, making the entire process auditable and reproducible. The result is a research-grade labeling pipeline that prioritizes label reliability over speed, making it suitable for sensitive or high-stakes datasets. With the ongoing pandemic, the entire process had to be conducted online. A huge team of developers worked tirelessly to create a perfect portal to conduct online proctored tests to recruit the very best people in DSC VIT. graVITas, the Techno-Management Extravaganza organised by VIT, Vellore is an internationally acclaimed event. graVITas'20 is the 12th edition of graVITas. It aims in exposing the budding graduates to recent and upcoming trends in various domains, challenging the young brains to solve technical problems, interact with the peers, inspired by achievers. Difficult times call in for the most innovative solution. 2020 is one of the most challenging years in the history of graVITas, has opened up newer horizons to "Unleash the genius". The theme of graVITas'20 is "Aspiring Innovations". It serves twin purposes, one aiming at creating scientific and managerial innovations to the challenges faced by our community and the other foreseeing newer innovative ideas which would address sophisticated future requirements. graviTas'20 will serve as a learning platform for the novices, a launchpad for entrepreneurs, a booster for technocrats, and a stepping stone for the young and intellectual minds. graVITas'20 would be one of the most significant and far-reaching online events organised. Amidst all the chaos, we wanted to bring everyone some positivity with Akina, a platform we built to deal with various issues people are facing right now. Akina is your one-stop to get the latest updates from the World Health Organisation, to request for anything that you need and let the community help you. Akina aims to aid people by bringing them a platform to elevate individuals to become a community. Akina: A one stop solution for all covid rela

Hopping on the internet or sometimes referred to as “falling down the rabbit hole” is embarking on an internet search that leads from one website to another forming a series of redirects, ultimately leading to a totally different webpage of a non-related subject. Iris is a fun tool for web hoppers to skip on the long hours of surfing the web and hopping between webpages to find between links or paths between two totally unrelated things and instead getting a clean graph listing all hops between those two unrelated things. Iris also allows users to adjust the depth of this graph and even get the shortest path in this graph. It works with the most popular online encyclopedia: Wikipedia and searches Wiki’s database for URL’s and terms. Tech Stack: Python, Flask, React, D3.js

The Hermes project is a live polling website which allows the operating party or organiser to create events while generating unique event codes. Under an established event, the organiser can add multiple polls, quizzes or feedback as found necessary. Other users can participate in the respective event by entering the valid event code and get engaged in the various activities of that particular event LIVE! It was the official partner for all the polls conducted during the 4 day long session by DSC OMG. It had over 1000 users at a time Tech Stack: HTML, CSS, JS, Node.js, MongoDB, Socket.IO

Hermes: An open source live polling platform

This was the backend of the application used during Women Techies 20, a women centric hackathon conducted by DSC-VIT. DSC-VIT Powered by Google Developers is a technical student chapter in VIT Vellore where our aim is to learn and teach. It conducts 2 hackathons every year named WomenTechies and DevJams. Women Techies is a women centric Hackathon and WomenTechies'20 had over 400 participants. The appication was used during the event. Its biggest feature was that it had a section where people could view posts pertaining to hashtags related to the event. Also, this backend was also used by the website of WomenTechies. Our goal is to modernize the way we cherish friendships so that, instead of letting details fade, users can preserve them in highly detailed digital profiles. But what can you do with these profiles? With Nexia, you can use your curated memories to drive context-aware conversations. For example, you can instantly recall a friend's food restrictions for a dinner party, identify shared interests across your circle, or rediscover an inspiring quote from a mentor exactly when you need it. But how does it work? We’ve built a sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline to ensure every interaction is meaningful. To maintain efficiency, our system uses Asynq-powered background workers to generate semantic embeddings for every profile detail, ensuring timely data indexing. Transparency and trust are crucial. That’s why, when you chat with our AI, it retrieves specific context from a Qdrant vector engine as proof of relevance. This context is then used to ground the AI's response, assuring you that every interaction is based on your real, lived experiences. Keats is a community-driven app designed for book lovers to connect, share, and explore the world of literature together. Whether you’re looking to create your own book club or join an existing one, Keats makes it easy to find like-minded readers who share your passion for books. How It Works: •	Create or Join a Book Club: Start your own book club or browse through a variety of clubs on the platform. You can join a club effortlessly by simply scanning a QR code. •	Share and Discover Books: As a member of a book club, you can upload books in PDF format for others to read. This creates a shared digital library where members can discover new titles and engage with their favorite books. •	Real-Time Interaction: Keats enhances the reading experience by allowing you to chat with fellow members while reading the book. Discuss plot twists, share favorite quotes, or debate character decisions—all in real-time. When we shop at stores in the mall, we’re often asked to link our mobile number with the company. In return, we earn loyalty points based on our purchase amount. These points can typically be redeemed for discounts or rewards. But what if you could do more with these points? What if you could use them to make a real impact in someone’s life? That’s where SocioCredz comes in. Our goal is to partner with these companies so that, instead of adding loyalty points to the company’s account, users can choose to transfer them to their SocioCredz account. But what can you do with these credits? With SocioCredz, you can use your credits to contribute to meaningful social causes. For example, you can use 100 credits to distribute food to the needy, provide books to underprivileged children, or support sanitation projects in underserved communities. But how does it work? We’ve partnered with verified NGOs to ensure that every service is delivered efficiently. We’ve built a dedicated portal where NGOs can register and receive user requests. To maintain efficiency, our system directs each request to the NGO with the least number of pending requests, ensuring timely delivery of services. NGOs can also start campaigns on our app to raise funds for specific causes. Transparency and trust are crucial. That’s why, once a service is completed, an NGO representative uploads a video on the portal as proof of delivery. This video is then visible to the user on the app, assuring them that their contribution has reached those in need.
