Meet Patel

As a volunteer at the Blockchain Hackathon organized by George Brown College, I contributed to the smooth execution of the event, assisting both participants and organizers. My responsibilities included: Providing support to participants during the hackathon, helping with event logistics, and ensuring all teams had the necessary resources. Assisting with the setup of the event space, including setting up workstations and ensuring all technical requirements were met for the participants. Offering guidance and technical support to participants who had questions or encountered challenges with the blockchain technologies they were using. Helping organize workshops and presentations, ensuring the speakers had everything they needed and the audience was engaged. Assisting in the coordination of judging sessions, ensuring that all teams' projects were properly presented and evaluated.

On the second day, I switched to a tech support role, where I provided technical assistance to speakers, exhibitors, and attendees. Key responsibilities included: Ensuring all AV equipment was functioning properly for presentations and panel discussions. Troubleshooting any technical issues that arose during sessions. Assisting attendees with connecting to the conference app and other digital platforms.

As a Volunteer Coordinator, I took charge of organizing and managing a team of volunteers, ensuring that all logistical tasks ran smoothly. My responsibilities included: Assigning tasks to volunteers and ensuring everyone was in their designated areas. Coordinating with event organizers to make sure all needs were met. Assisting with crowd control and ensuring a seamless registration process for attendees.
