Web Analytics for Founders
Lantern Analytics provides essential web analytics for founders, focusing on identifying the true sources of customers and their resulting revenue. Unlike traditional analytics tools that often categorize valuable traffic as 'Direct', Lantern traces each customer back to their origin, whether it's a specific Google search, a Reddit thread, or even an AI assistant like ChatGPT. This allows founders to understand which channels are truly driving conversions and revenue.

Revenue by Channel: Gain insights into revenue generated by channel, referrer, campaign, country, and landing page.

AI Assistants as a Channel: AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot are recognized as distinct traffic channels, rather than being lost in the 'Referral' category.

AI Crawler Tracking: Track AI crawlers such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot, which typically don't run JavaScript, through simple server-side reporting.

Real-time Visitors: Monitor live visitors on a globe interface, showing their location and the page they are currently viewing.

Funnels and Goals: Set up and track funnels based on visitor paths and define custom goals for sign-ups, checkouts, or any other desired event.

Ad Blocker Resilience: Serve the analytics script from your own domain to bypass ad blockers, ensuring accurate tracking of 20-40% more visitors.

First-Party Cookies: Uses a single first-party cookie for visitor identification across days and subdomains, ensuring privacy and compliance.

Payment Integration: Connect with popular payment providers like Stripe, Razorpay, Cashfree, Dodo Payments, Paddle, Polar, and Lemon Squeezy to attribute revenue directly to the originating traffic source.

Lantern offers a lightweight script (1.8 KB) that loads asynchronously and is compatible with various web technologies including Next.js, Webflow, Framer, Shopify, WordPress, and custom HTML sites.
