Project Aushadhi aims at providing employment to the homeless in India along with solving the problem of medicinal waste. Enactus SVC aspires to change the world, maybe not the whole world, but the world of the homeless. The word 'AUSHADHI' traces its origin to Hindi and is used to refer to a medicine or herb. It is an earnest endeavor to ensure that medicines which are of no use to the owner are put to better use while enabling the empowerment of the homeless in India. "At least 23 million people are homeless in India despite the country growing in global economic stature". An increasing number of migrants looking for employment and better living standards are quickly joining India's homeless population.

People say I'm extravagant because I want to be surrounded by beauty. But tell me, who wants to be surrounded by garbage? Project Captain Compost aims at channelizing the waste in a proper manner through compost bins so that it is not dumped in landfills. Poorly managed landfills have the potential of causing a number of issues such as infrastructure disruption, pollution of the local environment, emission of methane gas, cause of infectious diseases, wildlife disruption, dust, odour, noise pollution and reduced local property values. We shouldn't wait for an extraordinary circumstance to do a good action; we should try to use ordinary condition.
