Private.Ki is a private email and messaging service: End-to-end-encrypted email and messenger in one app.One account gives you a standard email address, an instant messenger with group chats, voice and video calls, a private notebook and encrypted file storage. It runs in any browser, and as an Android app on Google Play. iOS coming soon.Messages, calls, notes and files are encrypted on your device before they are sent. They reach Private.Ki only in encrypted form, so nobody at Private.Ki can read them, and neither could anyone who got hold of a server. Only the people a message was written to can read it. A group chat works the same way: only the people in the group can read it.Email works with every provider. Mail to and from other encrypted email services such as Proton is automatically encrypted, the key is shared with WKD.A message already sent can be taken back, and a chat message can be set to delete itself. Chats also have reactions, stickers, and voice and video messages. Anyone can start a chat instantly without creating an account, and no phone number is ever asked for. Sign-in can be protected with a security key, a passkey or an authenticator app, and a new device can be signed in by scanning a code from one that is already signed in. If the password is forgotten, a recovery key is a second way back in. The service can also be reached through the Tor network. The paid plan, Private.Ki Plus, adds your own email domain, with several addresses on the one account. You can export your data and delete your account yourself, at any time.
