EyeDentity: Smart Attendance System - is designed to make attendance marking effortless, secure, and foolproof. No more roll calls or students signing in for each other—this system uses face recognition and blink detection to ensure that only present students get marked. Using a simple webcam, EyeDentity detects and recognizes faces in real-time, verifying their authenticity through a quick blink test. This prevents students from tricking the system with photos or videos. The technology is built with Python and powerful libraries like OpenCV, dlib, and FaceNet/DeepFace, ensuring accurate recognition even in different lighting conditions. The system starts with a small group of 10-15 students and can easily scale up for larger classrooms using an external camera. Attendance records, including names, timestamps, and image proof, are stored locally in SQLite or CSV, with future plans to move to cloud storage for real-time monitoring. A simple and intuitive Streamlit-based UI allows teachers to track attendance at a glance. With EyeDentity, attendance is no longer a tedious task—it’s quick, reliable, and secure. Whether for schools, colleges, or training centers, this system ensures that only those who are truly present get counted.
