Co-Founder

a) Working on Related and Recommendation modules for iThink (now called Minekey)  
b) Development and Maintenance of Analytics Engine for Minekey Network. 

During its launch in May 2007, worked on and developed the analytics engine for the Minekey recommendations service performance. In its version 2 launch, I worked on upgrading the whole system architecture and adding more functionalities so that the system can work more seamlessly in a robust fashion even with such a large amount of data. Also worked on Related and Recommendation modules – which got incorporated into iThink production version - as a member of the India Research Center Team located in IIT Kharagpur.

Member, India Research Center

Design and Implementation of PTP (picture transfer Protocol) interface and a generic interface between CEDs and the BlueFS.

I worked on BlueFS – a distributed energy-efficient file system developed at University of Michigan, and developed a PTP interface for the file system and a digital camera so that all the changes on the file system or the camera are asynchronously and automatically replicated over the network. I also developed a generic interface for BlueFS which enables it to interact with different Consumer Electronic Devices (CEDs) having different protocol supports.

Summer Intern

I worked on developing backend engine for index computation for various types of derivative products which are traded in the markets. My work was mainly in development of a Java-based independent calculation engine which read input from various market data sources and also acted as upstream for various dependent systems.

Analyst, FIxed Income Technology Division

Atom : A scalable, reliable and fault-tolerant ad serving platform
– Worked on all the components - Real time ad serving nodes, Ad traffic controllers, Tracking servers, Log processor and User Interface
– Worked on requirement gathering, system design, database design, scalable and maintainable implementation
– Developed Decisioning engine - core of the system - which efficiently decides between all the campaigns eligible to select the ad which maximizes profit/ROI/relevance for publishers/advertisers/users respectively
– Worked on eCPM (effective cost per thousand impressions) optimization as part of Decisioning engine using machine learning techniques
– Introduced concept of Learning mode for new inventory and campaigns which randomizes ad serving in initial phases of a campaign to find out which type of inventory suites which creatives to maximize performance in longer run
– Developed map-reduce based log processor module which runs on a hadoop cluster and crunches GBs of data on a

Worked on several games including Mafia Wars, Bubble Safari, Cafe World etc and led development teams to deliver new features, build and maintain highly scalable system(s) handling multi-million daily active user base, helping with cross functional game development efforts. Took several key tech initiatives across games in Studio-I and successfully led engineering teams across various game transitions.
